9000 SERIES PET INK
INTRODUCTIONS
9000 SERIES is matt ink designed for the membrane switches of polyester film. The adhesion to polyester film and printability are excellent.
APPLICATIONS
Polyester film/stickers (especially suitable for high-speed printing)
CHARACTERISTICS
- Excellent printability. Fine patterns can be reproduced.
- Suitable for high-speed printing.
- Excellent adhesion. Ink film is flexible and post-print processing is possible.
- Good resistance to oil, gasoline, alcohol, chemicals and weathering.
- Stable in color-matching.
- Flat and matt finish. Good scratch resistance.
HOW TO USE
Dilute the ink with TETRON THINNER. Add TETRON RETARDER or PET RETARDER to make the drying slower.
DRYING
PET SERIES are designed to dry slowly in order to avoid clogging. Heat drying is essential.
Ink diluted with 10% TETRON THINNER SLOW DRYING TYPE. 270meshes/inch, Solid print.
- 50°C(122°F) hot wind : Approx.80 sec.(tack-free)
- 80°C(176°F) hot wind : Approx.40 sec.(tack-free)
- 120°C(248°F) infrared ray : Approx.90 sec.(complete drying)
STENCIL AND WASHING UP
Use photo-stencil. Our VINYL CLEANING THINNER is recommended for washing up.
COLOR RANGE & TYPE OF PACKING
Standard 18 colors, EXO(extra opaque)4 colors. 1-kg-can.
PRECAUTIONS
- Hardene JA-960 (fast reaction) or JA-950 (slow reaction, no yellowing) can be added to PET SERIES to improve physical properties such as adhesion, heat resistance and abrasion resistance.
- Gloss version, 9100PL SERIES PET INKvis available.
- 9000N SERIES, which has better adhesion and flexibility than 9000 SERIES, are available.
- 9000 SERIES and 9100PL SERIES can be mixed. However, as the defoamer used in 9000 is different from that in 9100PL, crawling may appear.
- Please refer to MSDS before use.
- Be sure to do trial print before commercial run to confirm that the product fits the purposes.
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
9007 OPAQUE WHITE is diluted with TETRON SLOW DRYING THINNER and printed on un-treated PET film(125microns) with T-270 screen. The printed matter was dried at 100°C(212°F) for 60 seconds and was left at room temperature for one day.

- The weathering resistance varies depending on the color. Please refer to lightfastness chart The weathering resistance of matched colors, especially smoke colors or pale colors, are much inferior to that of primary colors.
