HARDENER JA-960
APPLICATIONS
To improve the adhesion and properties of evaporative drying type of inks.
CHARACTERISTICS
Reaction of JA-960 is the fastest in all our hardeners.
HOW TO USE
- Add JA-960 to the ink at the ratio : Ink:JA-960=100:7-20(Standard ratio is 10%)
Stir well before use.
- Add suitable thinner and mix well before printing.
CURING TIME
- 25°C(77°F) : 2-3 days
- 80°C(176°F) : 60 minutes
- 100°C(212°F) : 30 minutes
- 120°C(248°F) : 15 minutes
POT LIFE
25°C(77°F) : 2-5 hours
PRECAUTIONS
- The more JA-960 is added, the better adhesion and physical properties become. On the other hand, opacity and flexibility become poorer.
- The higher the curing temperature is, the better physical properties become. It is advised to make curing temperature as high as possible.
- Suitable curing time depends on the ink series with which JA-960 is used as well as on the properties to be required. Be sure to perform pre-test to decide the most suitable curing time.
- Ink can be used for some time after the pot life. However properties and gloss becomes poorer. Avoid using the mixture after pot life.
- If the printed matter is used outdoors, clear and white with which JA-960 is mixed might yellow. Use non-yellowing type of hardener to avoid yellowing problem.
- Accelerator JA-E11 is not compatible with JA-960.
- Hardener becomes solid by humidity even before added to the ink. Close the container tightly after use, and use it up on the same day the container is opened. Shelf life of one year is for the unopened condition.
- Please refer to MSDS before use.
- Be sure to do trial print before commercial run to confirm that the product fits the purposes.
