JELCON USL SERIES
(UV ANTI-SLIP INK)

INTRODUCTIONS

JELCON USL SERIES forms ink film which has anti-slip effect.

AVAILABLE ITEMS

  • USL-1 : Excellent printability and levelling. Finish is not transparent.
  • USL-3 : Excellent transparency. It took some time to obtain good levelling.
  • USL-101 : Weak adhesion is obtained as well as anti-slip effect.

CHARACTERISTICS

  1. As flexible ink film gives anti-slip effect, printed surface can be used repeatedly as long as dust does not spoil the effect.
  2. USL SERIES can also be used as temporary adhesive or removable weak adhesive.
  3. The contents are 100% non-volatile. Low odor. Suitable for thick coating.

HOW TO USE

  1. Ink is supplied in ready-to-use condition. Stir well before use.
  2. Use 100-150 meshes/inch and make the film as thick as possible. Satisfactory anti-slip effects cannot be obtained with thin coating.
  3. Handle the ink at 20-30°C(68-86°F) avoiding direct sunlight.
  4. Use VINYL CLEANING THINNER for washing up.

CURING CONDITIONS

  • One metal halide lamp 120W/cm, Power : 800mW/cm²
  • Integral light : 250-500 mJ/cm² (Conveyor speed : 5-10m/min)

PRECAUTIONS

  1. Please refer to the literature "UV INK" for general precautions for UV inks.
  2. Wash printing tools(squeegees,stencil,etc) well before using USL-3 and USL-101 as crawling may be caused by the contact with silicone.
  3. Store the ink in a cool and dark place avoiding direct sunshine. Stir occasionally to mix the air into the ink in order to make the ink more stable. Use up the ink within 6 months.
  4. Please refer to MSDS before use.
  5. Specifin pattern for anti-slip print is patented. Printers must be careful not to violate the patent when using USL SERIES. Please refer to our sales division for the details.
  6. JELCON USL SERIES is designed to be printed without adding REDUCER.
    If lower viscosity is required, use REDUCER as below mentioned.
    • USL-1 : TY REDUCER
    • USL-3,USL-101 : NS REDUCER
    We normally have the stock of neither TY REDUCER nor NS REDUCER.
  7. When JELCON USL SERIES is printed on solvent-based ink, dry the solvent-based ink completely. Insufficient drying spoils the effects of anti-slip and weak adhesion.
  8. When the printed matters of USL SERIES are piled for storage, be sure to attach liner paper or liner film on the printed side.
  9. Be sure to do trial print before commercial run to confirm that the product fits the purposes.
