(UV MASKING INK FOR SAND-BLAST)
INTRODUCTIONS
JELCON GEC SERIES instantly produces tough and elastic ink film with UV irradiation. This ink film is peelable from certain materials.
AVAILABLE ITEMS
- GEC-6S : Glass, transfer paper
- GEC-10H : Stainless, glass. Non-silicone type.
CHARACTERISTIC
- Tough ink film peels off easily and does not leave the trace of peeling.
- As the ink is 100% non-volatile, odor is low and the ink is suitable for thick coating.
- Peelability is not affected by humidity and heating.
- Reproducibility is good. Ink hardly leaks from screen, which makes the pattern be reproduced accurately.
- As the ink film is elastic, it is suitable for sand-blast process.
HOW TO USE
- Stir well before use.
- Screen : Stainless 120 meshes/inch(coating thickness : 30-40 microns)
- Use the ink at 15-30°C(59-86°F) of environmental temperature avoiding direct sunlight.
- Use VINYL CLEANING THINNER for washing up.
CURING CONDITIONS
- One metal halide lamp : 120W/cm
- Distance from focus : 10cm
- Conveyor speed : 10m/min (Integral light : approx.250 mJ/cm²)
Good reproducibility and levelling without after-tackiness can be obtained under these reproduced accurately.

PRECAUTIONS
- Although skin irritation(P.I.I.) is low, it is advised to avoid skin contact. In case of skin contact, please wash with soap and water immediately.
- Store the ink in a cool and dark place. Stir occasionally to keep stability when the ink is stored for a long time. Use up the ink within 6 months.

PROPERTIES
- Appearance : Uniform blue paste
- Sand-blast resistance : Resistant to 4 kg/cm² pressure
- Peelability : Peeled off by washing with hot water of 40-60°C(104-140°F) for 10 minutes
- Be sure to do trial print before commercial run to confirm that the product fits the purposes.
